Call to Order:             Adam Germek  (7:23 pm)

 

Summary of Action Items from this Meeting:

 

1.     Proposal to fine teams $100 for failure to have representative at AGM voted on and passed.

2.     Agreed on method for collecting player passes, issuing new passes and obtaining new liability waivers from each player

3.     Proposed discipline for Gunners voted on and passed (Kathleen abstaining from vote).

·       Gunners Illegal Player

 

Vice President Report:  Angelo Koliava 

 

·       Discussion regarding make-up games and grounds for forfeit

 

Registrar Report: Erik Thompson

 

·       Proposed following process for issuing new player passes:

·       All player passes are to be collected at the end of each season

·       Each player will obtain new passes with league emblem embossed

·       Must use color pictures

·       Start of 2009 Fall season, each player must have on file signed liability waiver

·       Thereafter, new players must submit signed liability waiver to register, and returning players must submit newly signed liability waiver only upon amendment to Constitution.

 

Treasurer Reports:  John Havlik

 

·       No change since AGM

City Rep Reports:

Danville

 

·       Nothing to report.

 

San Ramon

 

·       Nothing to report.

 

Walnut Creek

 

·       Proposed $100 fine for each team that does not have at least one representative present at AGM meeting—no player passes issued until fine is paid

·       Further discussion regarding posting proposed changes to Constitution on DASL website at least 2 weeks before AGM

·       Erik Thompson moved that each team must have representative present at the start of AGM meeting or be fined $100 (Board member does not count as representative).  Player passes will not be issued to team until fine is paid.  Gabe Montero seconded the motion.

·       Passed.

 

Orinda

 

·       Nothing to report.

 

Unfinished Business:

 

·        None

 

New Business:

 

·        Discussion regarding adding elected Board position for referee coordinator.  Discussed need to vote on Constitutional amendment at next AGM and discussion tabled.

 

·        Discussion regarding discipline for use of illegal player by Ned Brown Stearns of the Gunners.  Gabe Montero moved for the following discipline:

o   Ned banned from DASL for 2 seasons (one year) and cannot hold Board position or team representative position in future

o   Illegal player banned for 2 seasons (one year) from time of eligibility

o   The Gunners team forfeits all Spring games and is relegated to “B” division

o   The Gunners team begins the Fall season with -10 points

 

A. Germek moved that the meeting be adjourned.
